Audrey Tautou
Audrey Tautou, the oldest of four children, was born on August 8, 1976 in Beaumont Puy-de Domme. Audrey's parents who was both dentists and teacher, were aware of and supported their daughter's passion for drama and theater at a young stage. This support was more than enough to combat her desire to become an animal scientist. At the age of a young lady the rise to fame was rapid and marked with early successes. When she graduated in 1998, her education, she was selected to be a part of Jeunes Premiers, a French show on TV that is a talent-scouting initiative, which is that was sponsored by Canal+. There she was awarded the prize for the Best Young Actress in the Beziers Festival of Young Actors. This led her to embark on a acting profession. Tautou, who attended the Institut Catholique de Paris in Paris in her youth and studied there at young age she has since renounced her Catholic education. Now, she declares herself to be non-Catholic. In addition to her acting career she also pursued a modelling career. Also, she is the face of L'Oreal Mont Blanc & Chanel and is sometimes referred to as the Chanel Muse. In addition to her acting work she also has an interest in photography. She recently exhibited some of her photographs during the Arles Film Festival, under the name Superficial. The majority of her photography is focused on celebrity and fame, and turns the camera on the media who sat on her shoulders after her meteoric rise to fame as Amelie and several self-portraits. Audrey Tautou's global success and fame soared after her appearance in the film as Amelie Poulain's lead lady in Le Fabuleux Destin in the film d'Amelie. Amelie was an international box-office success, and received accolades at awards galas around the globe. The film is still the top-grossing French language film in the US. After this film, Tautou appeared in numerous films ranging from British dramas and Jean Pierre Jeunet's Un long Sunday de Faancailles. After that, she shifted to Hollywood and was in the film with Tom Hanks alongside Ron Howard in The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown.
